Everyday Makeup

Image
I hardly have been wearing makeup lately, as I’m staying home as much as I can, but considering today was Mother’s Day, I wanted to look good for some pictures so, I got my Ultimate Nyx Palette, some eyeliner, mascara and nude lipstick and went to town! Well, actually, my makeup is pretty simple, and that’s how I like it! So, this is how I do it: I take shade 1. and put it all over the lid, then I blend it out as much as I can. Sometimes, when I use too much shadow and I’m having a hard time blending, I like to take the first shade in the palette, that white/translucent color, and use it to help blend out the edges. Then I take shade 2. (a shimmery pinky bronze) with my finger and I apply that to the center of the lid for that beautiful pop! Unfortunately, the shimmers in this palette don’t come out with that wet effect that I would like, but it’s the best that I have for now. Finally, I take a smaller brush and apply shade 3. A Simple Beauty Routine

Image
As I was writing about my day of pampering , I decided that it would be a good idea to go a little bit into more detail about my skin cleansing routine. I only started the habit of cleaning my face a bit more in depth only a few months ago and I did some research in order to find something simple and effective. So first, I remove my makeup with makeup remover wipes and then I use this micellar water. What it does is simple clean up those stubborn bits of makeup that refuse to come out (mascara, I’m looking at you right now). Even in days when I don’t use any makeup, but I still go out somewhere, at night, I still use the micellar water and the cotton disks always come out “dirty”, because your skin picks up a lot of dirt...

Sephora Collection Clay Masks – Review

Image
If you read my previous post , you saw that I tried out some face clay masks that I was given when I went to Sephora . I honestly never tried any kind of mask before, and I was a bit skeptical about them. However, I still wanted to try them and the results that I had at first try were actually worthy of a review. So, first things first, lets talk about the 3 samples I tried. They came in a little booklet as you can see in the image. On the left, they give us a schematic representation of where each mask goes on your face; there’s also a tiny description of what each mask does for you and in the back all the ingredients used are described. There is no information on how to use the masks properly anywhere, so I decided to do some research on the website. According to Sephora, the Gray Mask mattifies and balances your skin; the Pink Mask is for uniformity and brightness and the Green Mask purifies and minimizes pores and it also acts as an exfoliant. All masks work on ...
