Divination

Image
During quarantine , I stumbled upon a few Instagram pages about witchy things that made me think about exploring the mysterious world of witchcraft, healing, energy, plants, herbs, crystals... You see, I’ve always found those things very interesting but I’ve never had the motivation to get into it. Until now! From what I’ve gathered, a very important aspect of starting your journey is choosing a method of divination . There are many different methods, from many different cultures to choose from: runes, tea leaves reading, pendulum divination, stone reading, bone reading, scrying, numerology, among others. But the one that always stood out to me, and always had me pretty curious was Tarot reading . So, this week I finally got myself a beautiful Tarot deck that I felt drawn to and I started learning and practicing. So far, it is going great! I feel a great intuition towards the cards and their meaning come easily to me actually. I take a card for each day, in order to get some ...

Hey guys! It’s Sunday and that means that today I bring you some content that I love. This time I wanted to recommend you guys an online book called Immortalem Lullaby , by my good friend Luciana Marujo. This vampire story has the perfect mixture of Paranormal and Romance and, so far, has won many awards such as 1 st Place in the Paranormal & Horror Category in the Luauer Edit 2020; and 1 st Place in the Villain Category in the Million Dreams Contest 2019. It is still currently being written by the author, however the first chapters are already available online, for reading. The author chose the Wattpad platform to publish and share her work and has gathered a big community of readers, eager for the next chapter to come out. The book recently reached 9 500 views and 693 followers, an incredible milestone! The synopsis goes as follows: “Eighteen years after her mother’s death, Lucille Howard was left in the care of her only living relative, her aunt Francesca, a woman of el...

An Important Message to All Creators

If you are reading this and you want to be a writer, a singer, a youtuber, an influencer, or even you just want to try something new, a new style, a new recipe, a new hobby, this message is for you. This week I went I decided I was going to post a video to Youtube, because I wanted to try it out. Let me tell you, I had so, so much fun! From recording gameplay, to learning some new editing skills, to preparing bullet points to talk about, to recording my voice... It was an amazing experience! I have never done something like this before and I know that the quality of the video is not even comparable to youtubers I follow, but that was not my point. What I wanted to do was to try something new and be proud of it. And I was. And I am. I decided I was going to share the video the same way I share my blog posts and on one of the places I share I got some nasty comments. At first, I was shocked because it took me by surprise but then I realized that, as I was giving an opinion on that v...

Quarantine Thoughts - Day 7

Image
Writing last month’s Book Club post inspired me to take a look at all the books I gathered to read this year (and I didn’t even remember some of them!). These are all of them. They are very different from one another and that perfectly describes my literary taste: EVERYTHING . Bellow, is the book that I’m reading at the moment. I don’t want to get into much detail (I have another Book Club entry for this month) but basically it narrates the story of humankind, offering points of view that make us really think. If there’s anything I really appreciate in a book is that it makes me think and re-evaluate my opinions. I’m also really excited to read another book by this author called “Homo Deus”, which serves as a continuation for this book, in which the author gives us his opinion on the future of our species . If I had to choose, the next 3 books are the ones I am most excited to read. The first one is about the story and art of a man that has always fascinated ...

Book Club - September

Image
In September, I chose to read a book that was gifted to me by some friends in my birthday, back in July. It is Robert Bryndza’s “Cold Blood”. I’ve never heard about this author before but I decided to start reading before investigating. The book is categorized as a crime thriller and, in it, you are introduced to 2 stories. The first one is about Erika Foster, the detective we get to follow as she is confronted with the investigation of 2 brutal and shocking homicides, in London. The other story is about Nina Hargreaves, a young and innocent girl who falls in love with the wrong guy, a mysterious and dangerous man, Max Kirkham. In the cover of the book it reads “She fell in love with a killer, now she’s one too.”. So, you can imagine what happens, right? Young naïve girl, falls in love with a manipulative killer and turns into someone like him? Partly, yes, but this story is so much more than that! Due to the violent nature of our killer and the way Nina still follows him w...
